How we write
Every concept page is researched from primary sources — specifications, official documentation and the original papers — and drafted with AI assistance. Then it goes through checks a person can verify:
- Code runs. Every example marked runnable is executed by our checker, and the output printed on the page must match exactly — repeatedly, for anything involving timing.
- Facts have sources. Versions, limits and dates are kept in one facts file with the source and the date we last checked it. Cited facts link to the source.
- A separate reviewer. A different reviewer, who did not write the page, checks it for accuracy and for anything a beginner would find confusing.
- Plain words. We ban filler phrases, keep sentences short, and explain every term the first time it appears.
When we get something wrong, we fix it and list it on the corrections page. Use “Report an error” at the bottom of any page.
